Different Skin Types

Normal Skin

Normal skin is the least problematic skin type. It’s not too dry or too oily, if you fall under this skin type you are extremely lucky! Normal skin types include the following.

  • No or few imperfections
  • No severe sensitivity
  • Barely visible pores
  • A radiant complexion

We recommend our collagen range for those who are blessed with normal skin, you can shop those products here:

Collagen Night Cream
Collagen Day Cream
Collagen Face Wash

Oily Skin

Oily skin can change depending on the time of year and also the weather. It can be caused and worsened by stress, hormones and/or exposure to heat or humidity. Lots of us struggle with oily skin in summer. Other characteristics of oily skin includes:

  • Overactive sebaceous (oil) glands
  • Dull or shiny skin
  • Appearance of excessive blackheads, spots and blemishes

For oily skin we recommend our skin boost Vitamin C range which you can shop over here:

Vitamin C Day Cream
Vitamin C Night Cream
Vitamin C Serum

Dry Skin

Dry skin can crack and peel or become irritated and inflamed. This skincare condition is one of the most dangerous. This is because a layer of your skin is broken – and it can take a long time to heal. You need to use skincare products to boost your fibroblasts to start making collagen so that your skin can start repairing. If your skin is extremely dry it can become rough and scaly. Dry skin can be very uncomfortable and hinder smooth makeup application as well. Other signs of dry skin include the following:

  • Almost invisible pores
  • A dull rough complexion
  • Red patches
  • Less elasticity
  • More visible lines

Our Skin Boost Hyaluronic Acid range is recommended for dry skin and has amazing benefits, you can shop our HA range over here:

HA Day and Night Cream
HA Serum

Combination Skin

Combination skin can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-Zone (nose forehead and chin) You will therefore need multiple products to address these different areas. Combination skin can be rather tricky to manage. Other signs of combination skin include the following:

  • Overly dilated pores
  • Blackheads
  • Shiny Skin

You can try both our Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C ranges for combination skin – See above

Sensitive Skin

Skin can become sensitive for a variety of reasons. Most likely it is caused by a cosmetic product, food or your environment. You can attempt to eliminate products that cause sensitivity through trial and error. Alternatively you can consult with a dermatologist to diagnose the sensitivity and they can best advise you on a course of action. Sensitive skin includes the following characteristics as well:

  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Burning
  • Dryness

“Beauty is in the skin! Take care of it, oil it, clean it, scrub it, perfume it, and put on your best clothes, even if there is no special occasion, and you’ll feel like a queen. If society is hard on you, fight back by pampering your skin. Skin is political. Otherwise why would the imams order us to hide it?”
