3 vibrant colored mascaras – what you have been waiting for right?
These mascara are cruelty free, vegan friendly and hypoallergenic. The colorful makeup trend is huge right now (even neons are on the up), with virtually every makeup brand dropping a new colored mascara this summer. I wrote a blog post recently featuring neon makeup – I hope you got a chance to read it – if not you can find it here!
As of late, influencers, celebs, and friends alike have been swapping their traditional black mascara in favor of a more colorful alternative. From blue mascara to burgundy mascara, it’s safe to say there are quite a few options when it comes to picking your most flattering colored formula—not to mention more than one way to wear one!
THE BEST COLORED MASCARA FOR YOUR EYE COLOR
While you can totally rock any colored mascara you’d like, there are certain shades that are more flattering for specific eye colors. Find your colored mascara match below, based on your eye color.
If you have blue eyes…swipe on a violet/ purple mascara. This colorful shade will bring out the ocean-tones in your eyes while still offering a bit of contrast.
If you have green eyes…give burgundy/ red mascara a try. You’ve heard opposites attract, and it’s never been more true. Just as green and red are the perfect holiday pairing, wearing burgundy mascara will so beautifully complement your eye color that your friends will be left green with envy. Since purple and green are also nearly opposite of one another on the color wheel, you can count violet/ purple mascara as another winning option for your lashes.
If you have brown eyes…a blue mascara will really pop and ensure your look is anything but bland.
If you have hazel eyes…green/ blue mascara should be your colorful go-to! It’ll play on the notes of green in your multicolored eye shade.

These colored mascaras are smudge proof and only come off when they are removed. To build up the color you can either use a lash primer or you can apply one layer – let it dry first and then apply a 2nd or 3rd coat.
